My first novel, Eagle Peak, is now available.

Sean arrives with his parents to Eagle Peak, MN, population 596, with a trailer full of their old life. Clad in heavy eyeliner and black attire, Sean meets two of the town jocks on an unfortunate walk, ending in wet pants and humiliation. This event marks only the beginning of Sean’s initiation into his new life of pep rallies, pick-up trucks and country pop.

Despite Sean’s growing sense of dread and depression, he also begins to experience many firsts: he vaults about the rooftops of Main Street, he gets called “faggot” by a group of jocks who can’t decide whether they want to beat him or hit on him, and he gets lured into chanting with a Buddhist family by his ever-seeking mother and the lovely and allusive Lara.

Sean’s old life of theater, live music, and diverse friends collides with his new life in Eagle Peak, and Sean is left to connect the pieces.
